Corrections, removal & data rights
If you are listed in Open Editors Plus, you control whether and how your record appears. You can have it corrected, removed entirely, or object to it being processed — no reason required, and no charge.
How to make a request
Email the data-protection contact with your name as it appears in the data and the journal(s) you are (or were) listed for, and tell us what you would like done — correction, removal, or objection to processing:

- No reason required. You do not need to justify a removal or objection.
- No charge. Requests are always free.
- Removal is complete. If you ask for removal, your record is dropped in full — not merely hidden.
What happens next
We acknowledge your request and confirm what we understood you to be asking.
We action the correction or removal, and confirm back to you once it is done.
The change then propagates to the next versioned Zenodo release and to the online Explorer, so the correction reaches everyone who uses the dataset going forward.
Just want to report an error?
If something about your record is simply inaccurate — a wrong affiliation, a misspelled name, a role that has changed — and you would like it fixed rather than removed, you can flag it the same way: email the data-protection contact (email address) with your name and the journal(s) concerned.
One honest limitation
Removing your record deletes it from the Open Editors Plus release, the Explorer, and all future versions we publish. Because earlier versions are distributed openly under CC0, we cannot recall copies that other people have already downloaded or redistributed elsewhere. We remove what is within our control and stop republishing your record; we cannot control independent third-party copies of prior releases.
The dataset is a permanent public deposit (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19590816), and we will keep a working contact address published for the life of that deposit so this route stays open.
